This is very disturbing, because if that's actually why you're having issues, it's confirmation that they're scanning everything in everyone's Drive. That's not only disgusting, but it means there's an intentional backdoor that bypasses your own privacy settings on things in your Drive.

This is something a bunch of file storage services do though I havent heard of it done outside of the context of scanning for child abuse stuff.

I that being said moved off google drive to proton drive because I didn't want my retro game collection backup putting my account at a copyright risk.

Threatening legal action and if you have legal counsel, have them reach out on your behalf. @commandersterling.bsky.social has had experience dealing with YouTube and might be able to offer advice.

This really sucks :( I know we don't really know each other at all, we hung out for a bit with ZombiWorkshop and Aravelle at Play Expo Blackpool a couple years ago now though and you seemed such a genuinely nice guy, so I really hope you manage to get this sorted.
