“If you were in charge of Star Trek, what would you do?”

Spot on.
And even more damning; when the realization hits that he’s a monster who’s gone too far and needs stopping, he realizes that society not only enabled his evil, but it refuses to punish him because to do so would be to punish their own reflection.

*sighs and begins drawing up plans for a ‘gay conversion therapy’ camp, knowing how fast it’ll result in a reversal of this idiocy

Oh? You mean the Romulans that were created during the Cold War?
The ones who hid behind a ‘wall’, attacking from the shadows to destabilize a noble democracy and who were ultimately shown to be not that different from us, separated only by politics and ideology?
THOSE Romulans?

Besides, his screen time was super limited.
He only had seven minutes.
Seven minutes to play Albert Wesker.

What if George Lucas had added an end credit scene to ‘Return of the Jedi’ that was just Luke walking into the Toschii Station, grabbing some power converters off a shelf, slamming a fistful of credits on the counter, and stalking off.

Child at the podium: “A woo woo woo.”

Mamdani: That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan. Together, we will expand the idea of what is possible in our city—and what sounds and noises we can make at a press conference.

Translation of that review-
I never socialized with anyone who didn’t look, act and think like me as a child, and and now it’s everyone’s problem.

So I finally watched “The Black Phone” and I have come to the conclusion that it is an extremely good movie that I just don’t like.

Translation- I earned back a hundred times the cost of the last three, but I’m getting old and this labor-intensive process mean I’ll die before I finish.
So fuck integrity; to get it done faster, I’m going to tout my revolutionary use of AI for the next one.

So.
Difficult decision time for me.
Do I want to leverage what small following I have from the horror review days into an unrelated project, or start from scratch with only the support from the community that would see themselves best reflected there?

The dog spends his last years brooding over his last case; that guy had DRUGS before he was ambushed by ball tosses and held back.
This goes all the way to the top.
One day, smoking a cigarette on the porch, he’s approached by a young police dog asking to see the files…

So glad to see somebody else aware of this absolute classic. One of my top two favorite films of all time.
If you’re in the mood for some of the greatest writing and acting of your life, take the time to sit down and give this a watch.

Dear Wall Street Journal:
My partner has POTS and fibro, among other things. She’s proud and hates using the chair, but extended walks, such as in an airport, are torture. Once she rests, as one can on a flight, she’s ok to walk for a bit.
Anyone saying shit like this is getting a fist in the jaw.

You can guarantee that when a man who mocks the death of someone universally mourned passes, their own death will be universally celebrated.

Game design update.
Learned how to create gamepad controls this morning.
The process is slow, but rewarding.
Fingers crossed I can start some basic prototypes within the next couple of months.

I’m enough of a nerd that I can recognize that this product must’ve been created before the film was done, because the alien depicted is from the second movie, not the third.

Anybody else, I’d be concerned. But John Carpenter is a man who walked away from filmmaking when it wasn’t fun or interesting to him anymore. He’s got all the money he could ever need, and no reason to come back unless he’s got a good idea.
He’s earned a bit of faith.

“I could smell the mustard and onions…”
FOOL!
Of course you could!
For you have fallen afoul of the conundrum of that king of capers, that most curious of of criminals, the catastrophically calamitous CONDIMENT KING!

Know how when you were a kid, and you were in school, they’d show some old-timey stuff with SUPER racist depictions of black people, and you’d feel a little sick?
Well, guess what your next generation is going to get that feeling from.

It should be obvious at this point, but it’s important to remember that the American government is now something we live under.
It demonstrates daily it is no longer of, by and for the people, but rather that it, and those in power, are only ‘for’ themselves.
