i think cycling/EVs/solar are great. i use two out of three. i also implore you to think about what basic necessities will cost and what the lives of everyone (not just your comfort and convenience) will be like in a $20/gallon world.

The proportion of Helium used to manufacture chips and medical equipment coming from Ormuz is even higher than oil and natural gas. Same for fertilizers. Other industries like aluminum are hit. The ramifications are much deeper than many people think and it could bring famines.
