It’s quite tragic. Even if he didn’t harm her, so many potentially deadly choices were made. No radio, not wearing PFDs, traveling in near darkness, alcohol possibly involved, no dinghy light, terrible conditions (high winds), no back up engine “key”. Ugh.

Oh geez, I am just barely competent and always learning. YOLO gets me through challenging days/nights. Mostly, people living on boats are very generous with their guidance and knowledge because that’s the best way to help others stay safe, and we have cumulatively benefitted from that.
