🧵Hey it’s allergy season. As a someone who used to be stuck inside and needed an asthma inhaler and icepacks on my eyes, etc. even with the newer drugs, I’ve figured out a few things that have made the outdoors pleasurable again. I don’t do well on most antihistimines so here is my strategy…

Lower exposure and treat the tiniest symptoms before they cascade. That’s it, that’s the strategy.

I use Pataday eye drops consistently. I NEVER rub my eyes. If my eyes and throat don’t escalate my entire upper respiratory tract stays calm.

Calm eyes = calm everything.

I take tiny (1/2 tsp) and frequent doses of liquid kids benadryl to calm my throat. Small enough that I don’t experience fatigue, just enough to calm the itch before it escalates. This way I avoid the bounce back too.

Again, tune into the very first symptoms to stop the escalation.
