Étudiant (Histoire de l’art), quite the gamer, un nerd. (FR/ENG)

"Ma parole! C'est fait! De Maurice (Rocket), à Boom Boom (Geoffrion), à Guy (Lafleur), à Steve (Shutt), à Pierre (Larouche), à Stéphane (Richer), à Cole! Le flambeau est passé! 50 buts!"

Pierre le GOAT! Il aura enfin eu ce privilège!

Grand moment de l'histoire de la télévision québécoise!

ALL characters got nerfs in that patch for Strive like holy heck!

Even I can admit Unika’s DP and her Overhead were maybe a little too strong. It’s gonna be interesting to see how she’ll “flow”. 6HS having a hitbox is a weird change. Should make her P and K normals more useful. We’ll see.

Finally watched PTA’s There Will Be Blood. Honestly a great film, but a masterpiece? I’m gonna sit on that question for a few days.

It has some issues with character development and pacing, but all of it is forgotten by Daniel Day-Lewis’ breakdown and Paul Dano’s performances.

A necessary watch!

On a different subject from what I posted…

Force the impeachment! Get him out of office. It’s done! He cannot lead your country anymore. He has no moral or compassion.

Same with the rest of these oligarchs!

Yes, I can love auteur films like Mulholland Drive or crime thrillers like The Silence of the Lambs as much as I can appreciate the story of an ultimate life-form in the shape of a black hedgehog learning the meaning of friendship.

I’m aware of how bad Shadow’s story really is across the games. It’s screwed beyond belief.

But Keanu Reeves and Alyla Browne managed to make an odd relationship feel sincere. Ignoring the source material, it still stands on its own as a FILM and not a video game movie.

Key word: sincerity!

If the first film is a 4/10, then the second is maybe 6/10.

The third film is a genuinely strong 8/10. Not because of the references or humour (mostly bad), but because it has a story arc with THE song right at the beginning and perhaps the most uncanny performance for a “cartoon” character.

I’ve finally sat down and watched Sonic the Hedgehog 3, removed from all the hype and over a year late. I’ve some very STRONG opinions on it as someone who isn’t a Sonic enthusiast nor do I care for the source material that is already silly at best and poorly conceived at worst.

It’s actually good!

Imagine knowing we have the opportunity of a lifetime seeing the beauty of space brought by scientists… when a sickening individual vows to eradicate an entire civilisation.

No more benefit of doubt from you all.

Closing off Strive until 2.0 for real this time around. Wanted to push Unika one last time within Gold Rank. Sure Romeo and Elphelt are fun but goshdang! I can't help it.

I'm not expecting much on the 9th.

Couldn't help it so I played some more, and sent Romeo to Gold! Had a good 6-win streak which eventually stop because that Faust was giving me some work. I know that feel of blowing an opportunity with bombs.

Even with all the stereotypes of the past, this brings back a ton of childhood memories. Tintin’s Moon Rocket from Objectif Lune and On marché sur la Lune

In Killer Instinct 2013, General RAAM's Standing Heavy Punch is absolute Dominance (pun intended). Technically 9 frames start-up, +4 on hit, +1 on block (as per the Infilament spreadsheet). This button is beyond ridiculous on its own in a game where everything happens extremely fast.

Was watching @diaphone.bsky.social's video of @lilypichu.bsky.social being coached so that sort of inspired me.

First online perfect round with Strive's Elphelt! Got her to Silver Rank. Okay, that beginning was a bit ridiculous because everything somehow clicked!

Arbalest rusting off for the next patch. Gold Rank Unika has been reached! I'm happy with that. The Megadeath Buster way is real. This marks the end of 1.0 Strive for me, moving on to 2.0 next week.

9 hours 30 minutes in total over two days, Frodo’s Journey is complete. I’m tempted to frame it like the 2000-pieces ones.

Done for Day Two. 3 hours 30 minutes in total for 8 accumulated hours.

It should be done tomorrow for sure.

One hour into Day Two. Some parts are finally joining together to stabilise the whole puzzle board. It’s all about remembering the movie shots under different angle including some stuff from the Extended Editions.

4 hours 30 minutes in total into Day One. Definitely one of the more fun jigsaw puzzles I’ve done in the 1000-piece challenge. Variety in elements thanks to the design.

Following the opening, sorting, assembling the edge and more… 3h15 minutes into this journey. Far more challenging than expected.

A nameless evil has awoken. The Ring has heard its Master’s call.

The forced symmetry brings down the overall building experience, but the final result is rather satisfying. The representation of someone filled with cruelty, malice, and a will to dominate all life… is certainly there! #LEGO #Sauron
