Genuinely they camp out on the stairs of the fucking building demanding their colleagues return. Publicly, loudly, and aggressively.

Anything less feels hollow.

I think that would be cool and symbolically powerful for the larger public discussion. but you know people were on the capitol steps when Mike Johnson refused to call the house into session before, not like he isn't going to do it again.

So make it very clear Republicans do not deserve any grace in society if the worst case scenario happens. A united Dem coalition on this even if it doesnโ€™t stop a nuke from being dropped delivers a strong message to the world that the US doesnโ€™t tolerate the actions of the executive.

Stuff him in a locker and call the session on his behalf. The guy is a weenie. He'll cave to any real pressure. He'll, he caves daily to imagined pressures!

Yes, but this time the people on the steps may need to be in a history book as "attempted to stop the atrocities with every fiber of their being"

Been doing that all morning, (Thune is one of my Senators), but also calling on Democrats to get to DC and stand together to hold a press conference & file for impeachment

There is nothing stopping you from camping on the capitol steps either.

worthwhile if the Republican media would even cover it. but you're not stopping Congress from doing anything by sitting there out of session

Action like this. Mean tweets are not enough. Physical action. Sit in by congress and the senate. Remember Ukraine and the Maidan? They made the president flee to Russia.

sit-ins are visibly powerful things to remind the public. and confrontation of Congress members are also powerful in terms of public opinion. and I'm never going to say don't do physical action. put your salt in the shaker
