Venus is actually way weirder; it's not tidally locked, it's spinning *backwards*. Under normal circumstances, it might've ended up tidally locked, but because of its massive atmosphere and proximity to the sun, the heating causes retrograde rotation!

I get this might be one of those "kinda too complicated to explain here" things but what about the massive atmosphere leads to that result?
