Boycott the construction companies that agree to build detention center warehouses. They are a disgrace. Shut their businesses down.

The vile video is racist. Period. And it came from a racist White House. If you can't say that, what are we doing here.

Buildings need to be approved by building inspector as fit for human habitation. Couldn't building inspectors halt the use of warehouses as detention centers.

My latest Bloomberg column is on how Intel's recent stock gyrations reveal a big, unseen risk in Trump's unprecedented "state capitalism" push: private investment chasing politics, not fundamentals. The economic costs could be substantial.

It’s not just policy uncertainty
It’s policy unpredictability that global investors are punishing. Consider it a political risk premium being placed on dollar denominated assets such as the greenback. #Econ #EconSky

This is one of the best illustrations of the dangers of the graft & grift linked to crony capitalism: A Tehran bank collapsed under the weight of bad loans to regime cronies. For some ordinary Iranians, it was the last straw. #Econ #EconSky

i tell you what, if Democrats win the elections in 2026 and 2028, one of the biggest mistakes they could make is to talk about uniting the country by not prosecuting all of the lawbreakers and corruption of Trump administration officials. One reason we are here today is Ford's pardon of Nixon.

At this point, it’s utterly bonkers that any Democrat would trust any Republican to negotiate in good faith.

Speaker Johnson continues to stall the swearing in of Rep.-elect Grijalva so as to avoid having to deal with the Epstein discharge petition. Why shouldn’t Dems make support for reopening the government contingent on adding to the funding measure a provision mandating release of the Epstein files?

A reminder: Dr. Cook's mortgages are not the real issue. The threat to US macro stability is the clear intention of the Trump Admin to influence the composition of the FOMC in defiance of the structures designed to insulate the institution from such influence. Thank you for coming to my TED talk

I am against gerrymandering, but I am also against unilateral disarmament. Gavin Newsom’s plan to redistrict in California, to get more seats in 2026, and stop Trump in his tracks, should be replicated by Democratic Governors across the country. We need to actually fight here.

The issue isn't Antoni's background in conservative advocacy, economists said. It's his history of distorting economic statistics to support partisan positions.

Typically within a 3 month window the response rate for a single monthly survey time improves to 90% which is why there are ongoing rolling revisions that are rarely as large as the downward 258K revision in June.

The numbers are not rigged and they are the gold standard internationally. #Econ

Dr. Erika McEntarfer has devoted her career to public service. She has conducted herself as BLS Commissioner with great integrity. There is no evidence whatsoever that BLS data are politically biased.

What Frederick Douglass said of slaveholders applies to today’s authoritarians.

“For this cause they hate free society, free schools, free states, free speech, the freedom asserted in the declaration of independence, and guaranteed in the constitution.”

I can’t believe that “illegals” seems to have become broadly accepted as the noun referring to basically all immigrants who haven’t completed all the steps to become permanent residents.

It’s not even a good descriptor and it’s such a nasty, toxic word.

I dunno, but maybe Democratic members of Congress shouldn't go the White House picnic tonight and pretend everything's fine and dandy, unless and until Sen. Padilla gets a phone call apologizing for what happened from Donald Trump?

This is outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful.

Trump and his shock troops are out of control.

This must end now.

The Fed will continue to approach the outlook and tariff impacts cautiously, meaning they're likely to keep sitting on their hands for an extended period of time before feeling compelled to act.
