I actually was compelled to write a "The Conversation (Spain) piece, because how jarred I was by solid scientific basis of many of the animals contrasting notions of the "manifest destiny" and "conquest" in the narrative, and how damaging they are for the public perception of evolution

I’d love to read it! I’m glad you spoke up, though how terrible that we have to air these concerns instead of being able to focus on our favorite prehistoric creatures.

Your posts on the show are a breath of fresh air. I like seeing dinosaurs on screen, but I found the lack of science, & the constant focus on fighting very limiting. Your posts succinctly outlines this & the whole dominance/colonialist/fascist crap perfectly. Thank you.

I think it really shows where we’re at that the show’s been so popular but has no meaningful reviews (because news media’s dying and cut off reviews early on). The show’s narration and focus on dominance are atrocious, but who would take it seriously “because aren’t dinosaurs kids’ stuff?”

I hadnt heard of this show before and god, that trailer is so off-putting. That all the animals seem to be kinda muted scaly earth tones too says something like " patterned and feathered dinosaurs are woke, were going back to masculine bald dinosaurs for men "
