Punishment doesn’t work for abusers; they eat it up like a demented Pac-Man. What does work is consequences. Finding their Achilles heel, and severing it. Do they like publicity like 🍊Mussolini? Put him in isolation with no access to communicate w/the outside world.

Vought’s sense of power and control is derived from pulling policy strings from behind the scenes, and from stonewalling in public. Consequences that would be appropriate (& actually stop harm) would be something that permanently severs his ability to control policy or collude with tyrants.
