some disagreement on here about whether to put the foil on before or after baking. I put it on after, as you want the steam to cook out some before it goes in your pocket but to each her own

I think technically the more moisture you retain in the potato the greater the thermal mass and should stay warm for longer. Might be worth a right hand-left hand trial? Stay safe out there.

My baked potato lore agrees with yours. I do coat the potatoes in olive oil before baking, makes the skins a bit crispy which I like.
