Approval just in time for winter, apparently, by the time the relevant authorities have jumped their own hoops.

I wonder if there’s a bigger organisation that could have done this for us and, say, 27 other countries collectively? We should think about being part of that.

There was hope that it would be available before summer. I'll still be getting it regardless.

I don't think the EU has had much of a hand in the rooftop solar on the continent. It looks like regulation has been very much down to each country, from what I came across in researching.

I already have a PV system installed, but I might chuck one on my mum’s roof. For me it’s more about being green, flattening the grid than saving money.

The agreement in principle is made. But getting it incorporated into Part P is not going to be quick. These things are categorised as generators and there are a lot of rules to be subtly but specifically modified without creating potentially dangerous loopholes.
