There was hope that it would be available before summer. I'll still be getting it regardless.

I don't think the EU has had much of a hand in the rooftop solar on the continent. It looks like regulation has been very much down to each country, from what I came across in researching.

The agreement in principle is made. But getting it incorporated into Part P is not going to be quick. These things are categorised as generators and there are a lot of rules to be subtly but specifically modified without creating potentially dangerous loopholes.

Still, better late than never!

And maybe it gives them more time to get agreements and assurances in place to start importing the units. A law change without the supply would be equally as crappy.

I already have a PV system installed, but I might chuck one on my mum’s roof. For me it’s more about being green, flattening the grid than saving money.

I'd love to be in a financial place where it didn't have to be about the money!
Disability has been holding me back the past..oof, five years.

So for me it'll be a modest up-front investment to provide longer-term benefits.

It doesn't really matter the reason though: any new renewables is good!
