Another thing, and unless I missed the tutorial for these...
Equipment marked with [C] will only last for one battle while equipped, making them consumable equipment.
This isn't really ever explained in game.

like the one for this account is just an edited image from Zakuzaku that I originally intended to edit and add messages to regarding further TLs, but I got lazy and left the sign blank.

starting my alpha playthrough of the April Fools Feast English TL today.
All images done, all maps and database done.
The 'End Game' from status menu option is still untranslated, but I'll have to see how to fix that, and tbh it's not all that important.

once I got past the first phase of the install, it was fine, but I had to keep unplugging the install USB to plug in a keyboard to enter the internet password etc. since the tablet only has 1 USB port.

I inserted a Nobara USB I had lying around from a while back and that displayed normally, so maybe Linux is the way to go? problem is these I'm not sure what will work with a bunch of VNs that include some that are so old W11 at least won't play them.

got a tablet (2 of them actually) for reading visual novels in bed
tried to install W10 LTSC and for some reason it's duplicating the display and putting it over itself over and over, creating a nigh-unreadable multiple layer pileup of what would be the normal install prompts.
...maybe 8 or 7, then?

Getting on to the final image editing for April Fools Feast.
The first is how Gimp converts the image, and the second with the selection rectangle is how it was supposed to look.

It didn't need Locale Emulator to let me edit the menu, and it doesn't seem like it's broken anything so far, but I'm still nervous that it did.

Got RPGM 2000 to see them, but the damn thing won't give the option for Locale Emulator for some reason. Is it because it's the Steam version?

So, essentially, I have the game in a fully translated state, but changing the Vocab StringScript breaks stuff by shifting it into the English language version, and I can't seem to open the files with RPGM 2000 to edit them there. I can open the files with 2K3, but any change breaks everything.

It completely broke the custom system when I tried playing it. Converting it to 2K3 will not work.

Or maybe I found a fix? I don't know if the conversion broke anything I can't see, though.

Everything else seems fine, but the menu screen is ruined. All I've got is two Japanese "End Game" options, and one doesn't even do anything...

When I tried it in the editor, I got a message about converting it from RPG Maker 2000 format to RPG Maker 2003 format.
It'll probably break something...

Found a problem...
When importing the Vocab StringScript into The April Fools Feast, it seems to be swapping the version or somehow breaking the formatting. The character file names in the RTP end up corrupted, at least...

maybe I'll get to the TL of the new Princess and the Rose Knight eventually after I finish up April Fools Feast and Saihate Hospital, but I'll need to check which dialogue lines up with the original, and I'll probably only distribute it as a patch with the required files...

well, the Random Dungeon link creation seemed to work, but for some reason I'm getting an error when I try to create the new download for Princess and the Rose Knight, which was the only other game I had up on RMN back when it went down.

I've completely forgotten how to upload game files to that site.
or did they change it? I can't make any sense of what I'm supposed to do anyway.
