It's incredible. My mom was a Holocaust survivor and fled Communist Hungary right after the revolution. In the 36 years since the Soviet Union collapsed, Hungarians have managed to vote their way back into fascism. Let's hope this ground swell holds and the people can get back on a democratic path.

I think it has less to do with Trump and more to do with Putin. In a last ditch effort, Trump is trying to make Orban look like less of a Putin puppet and more like a Maga puppet but they dont want that either.

I've never thought of it this way. I don't see a ton of strategic advantage for them promoting the hell out of Orban, other than weakening Europe which is, for some ridiculous reason, a goal of theirs.
