The funniest thing about waking up is that you look back and can't believe you were ever to naive as to have been asleep in the first place. I can't believe some of the things I thought were true because of propaganda.
I’m about 2/3rds of the way through Angela Davis’s autobiography and, while the entire thing has been incredible (and deeply upsetting) so far, her trip to Cuba (and what she did to get there), really stuck out
