like truly what is the point it doesn't feel satisfying to win against an ai constantly spamming a move that literally can't affect your pokemon and if i wanted to not interact with another human intelligence then i'd just play regular ass pokemon and it'd be infinitely better at playing the game

sure pokemon champions is very limited & runs like shit & doesn't accurately simulate the mechanics but i think the worst part is that if you lose too many times (too many being like twice in a row) it forces you to do a not-so-stealthy bot match against maybe the most braindead ai in a pokemon game

i can't do it OPTIMALLY because light clay is one of the billion items not in the game but i can still do it and people can still insta-forfeit once the funny blob comes out against their animal they thought they were safe to set up with 6x attack

i think pokemon champions is kinda bad (extremely limited with pokemon/items, bad framerate, a lot of input lag on menus, battle animations are about on par with the switch games despite literally not having to focus on anything else) but i can do my stupid klefki/ditto bullshit and its still funny
