The first obstacle was printing it. It's *reallllly* tall. So I had to split it in two parts to make it fit. I sliced just the top off as I thought it would be less noticable. After the first round of fillung and sanding you can still see the seam clearly

After a few more rounds of filling and sanding, I eventually gave it a couple of coats of glossy black spray paint. This was in preparation for the Alclad chrome. Same stuff I used for the mando helmet. But this time I intentionally scuffed areas of sanding to make it look used.

It came out pretty well, so next up was masking. Lots of masking! This was so I could apply the gold areas. First idea was to use Alclad Gold paint. Same make as the chrome and looked amazing - but it was the wrong shade. It would be perfect for High Elven armour though
