I'm a mountain person, not a beach person, but I left Santa Barbara County (Carpinteria, where I could hear the surf from my place at night) to relocate to Portland.

Not missing the freeways, but the Sierra backcountry, at this time of year.

I’m both! Lived on the western slope of Sierra Nevada mountains most of my life. Miss Desolate Wilderness & swimming in those alpine lakes in the summer. I moved up to the coast after the Caldor Fire.

Hope you get back to the mountains soon!
Late spring is best now because of wildfires.
