The western world has made excuse after excuse to continue burning fossil fuels. Its laziness. The earth is not falling, you simply have to decide to stop burning fossil fuels and not pay the higher prices. Unlike in the 1970s the world has the option to transition to renewable energy now.

That same gallon is now $4.40

That is a 69% increase in cost.
Diesel is $5.60/gallon
