I've run that race and if i would have heard someone yelling Malört from the side i would have partaken. I then would have shit myself before the finish.

I made the mistake of taking 2 Fireball whiskey shots during a Hash House Harriers event. Downing the beer at the bar stop was fine, those shots about mile 4 almost killed me.
Oh, it’s Hash House Harrier season again, time for some Thursday night bar runs.

I will be running the Chicago half marathon in September with some friends and I am trying to convince them to all take a shot of Malort either before or after the race. (During the race may be a bridge too far)

I appreciate how @bencollins.bsky.social describes Malört as “spicy WD-40” and I think that’s meant to be a bad thing, but I happen to enjoy it

Running a marathon wasn’t torture enough? 😂 Chicagoan here and I’d say Malört tastes like what you’d guess the liquid at the bottom of a dumpster might taste like, mixed with a few drops of sriracha 😂
