Regardless of whether you like Hasan or not he’s big enough that Third Way felt compelled to write a WSJ op-ed about him. Clearly they’re not dismissing him as an online celebrity and neither should anyone else.

They wrote an oped because he and his fan base are noxious enough that it’s useful for them to be able to tie progressive politics to his brand to tar it by association. They want everyone to know about him and to think he’s bad so that they can point to AOC or whoever and imply they’re crazy too.
