I've not finished watching the series yet but I still wish there were more Star Trek Lower Decks. It's a fun show with characters I adore in a universe I wish I could live in. It's sad that the fantasy one of my favorite shows is just working with people I like for an organization I believe in. But🤷

I feel the same way and hated to see it end.

The characters and their relationships are just a joy to watch. I also loved the humor. I felt like the writers had a lot of love and respect for Star Trek and it showed.

Definitely my favorite of all the shows.

Enjoy the rest of the series!

Lower Decks was just starting to broach a really fascinating part of the universe in the last season. We got some perspective on the Federation from the outside, and I wish they got to explore that more.

I'd love a series about a non-federation group. Like Doctors Without Borders, but in space.

There are comic books. I know it's not the same but we enjoy them.

I live Star Trek but couldn't watch Lower Decks. I found some of the characters behaviors just too grating.

I suppose I can understand that. The crew of the Cerritos are definitely a loud and abrasive bunch (especially near the beginning).

Because it’s not that sad. You want your labor to be meaningful and connecting. There’s nothing shameful in that.

Oh 100% what's sad is that that's a fantasy.

As a lifelong Star Trek fan, it might be my favorite Trek series, depending on what day you ask. It’s that good. Embodies underlying spirit of Star Trek in a sorta new young and hopeful way.

Lower Decks was my favourite Trek series. I love the irreverential humour.

You can write your own fan fiction about it. That's always fun.

Lower Decks getting cancelled was a crime.

Don't get me wrong. I like SA. It isn't for everyone but I personally enjoy it (my wife can't watch it because one of the main overarching story arcs triggers PTSD for her). I love SNW. I even liked Discovery. But LD is a love letter to all of ST.

The good news is Tawney Newsome (Mariner) is heavily involved in ongoing Trek as a writer and producer, so some of that DNA is carrying forward

(Also the official comics are good)

there is no shame in liking shows made for 14-year olds
what matters is being happy
