I experienced a similar dynamic in a community where a woman was the abuser - i wasn't the initial target, but when i called it out i became one.

Do you think there is necessarily an endpoint with the anarchic/hierarchic fight? The notion that they're just two opposing forces that have to duke it out forever seems to be gaining traction. I'm not sure where i land on that idea.

At some point we need to acknowledge how power hierarchies inevitably create conditions of exploitation, and the truly radical (meaning ‘from the roots’) level of transformation required to adequately address this. We need to completely change our relationship with power in community.

Starting with men, yes, but let’s not pretend women are inherently kinder just because our current social position makes it harder to be predatory. We need to eradicate that possibility for everyone. And for some reason, the only people I see having these discussions are anarchist feminists.

The first time I experienced this, hey this guys a problem, no you’re the problem, I was 14. And the boy/man in question got everyone in our social group to call me insane.
