This is basically akin to the Iron Lung situation, guys. If you want theaters in your region or theaters close to you to run it then you have to help Glitch Productions in the same way by convincing theaters to screen this by contacting them. Demand from public = more screenings

But what if you don’t want to or unable to see it in theaters? I mean, I’d love to convince my local theater in Eugene to screen it, but I don’t know if I’d be able to have the time or money for it.

Wait so Europe is not on that list, meaning we have to demand our cinemas to air in our region? Really..? Not sure if Ireland would allow that

That's definitely an option, yep. I'm gonna be mailing/calling my local theaters and ask them what it is going to take to make a viewing happen. :3

Sorry demand's a strong word, convince?

I should also say that any film that is not being rated by IFCO which is the Irish company for rating films on age ranges is not permitted to air in any cinema in Ireland (which is the region I live in). So just requesting the cinemas is not going to work, it needs to be rated by IFCO.

Damn that sucks.

Gotta be honest, the idea of forcing people to go to a theater to watch a finale to a web series that’s otherwise available for free if they don’t wanna be spoiled for the next two weeks seems a bit scummy.

This doesn’t really work everywhere. In France, Iron Lung only got two days of screening and not in every theatre

Also I got in touch with a french theater and they told me they can't do anything unless Glitch themselves contact them. Which, I hope they are going to because at this rate...

Why are people in the replies acting so entitled to this damn movie? If you don’t want to see spoilers, stay away from social media

Just go into a radio deadzone and poop in an outhouse, you humans used to hunt and gather what happened to that?!

Even if the cinemas would screen the episode after the convincing, it really doesn't change the fact that it's 15 days of difference between cinema and streaming. You know how many spoilers there will be for people who can't afford or just can't make it to the cinema? It's ridiculous.

Yeah, I was initially expecting it to be early by only a few days, but now I'll have to avoid The Internet for a solid two weeks. Oof.

I cannot stress how much I am just a rando on the internet copy pasting Glitch Productions own words about getting more screenings, my dudes. If you're angry about the decision to do a theatrical release two weeks ahead of the streaming one then Glitch Productions is who to talk to about it, not me

Yeah which, just like with Iron lung (Which is lowkey different situation), will fuck over people in rural areas.

Then contact Glitch Productions via email or DM and request they line up the dates or something. That's the only thing I can think you and everyone else who has made their anger with their decision clear could do. I don't know if it'll work, but it's constructive at least

Yeah sorry but we shouldn't be doing their job, cause how the hell could I fkin convince the cinema of my middle of nowhere town to broadcast it ?
Just release this freakin episode at the same time on youtube, and every single problem is fixed.

Not every theater will say yes unless they're shown that there is money in it. Our jobs as the customer with the money id to show the companies that there is money in this. So yeah, this is our job. Reach out to your local theaters and demand that they show TADC The Last Act.

Just watch it on a camcorder stream with gambling ads superimposed on top and then blurred out and reuploaded somewhere else!

Like most people who don't want to be spoiled!

The fact any theaters even agreed to screen this before they made the announcement is pretty impressive to begin with. Theaters don't like taking chances on unknowns. If there's a massive amount of demand though then theaters are more likely to do indie screenings. We're not doing their job.

Actually yeah true…

If they wanted this in cinemas for every region I believe they should contact the cinemas and not us.

… well have you considered β€œemailing” the theater first before giving up?

I had to actively take a break from Twitter because people are just hopping on the "scream at Glitch because it's their fault" bandwagon..

Honestly I've been using the internet as a community thing less and less.

The ragebots, the endless ads, the whole "no one comments ever unless they're mad" thing, the genAI scrapers, I just want to glomp for god's sake.
