I don’t get this mindset of “this is a nonstarter, we gotta focus on our midterms” as if any democrat personally responsible for ousting Trump wouldn’t win their next election in a LANDSLIDE.

I think you're missing the fact that Democrats do not fear their base like Republicans do, they just despise them

They view their job, their only job politically, is to discipline their voters to expect nothing and accept even less

They do not want their voters thinking they can demand anything

I'm also frankly convinced the Dems are perfectly happy going to Iran and they're only mad that Trump beat them to the punch by doing it in the dumbest way possible.
