It’s to the point if I see any sort of c walk video I immediately think it’s AI, and at this point I’m mostly always right. It’s always the same part of the song and the exact same dance, frame by frame. I saw one earlier today of Disney cast members doing it (also ai slop of course)

The thing that tipped me off that this video is AI is how the thrown object moves. That’s not how thrown objects move underwater. I hate that you gotta scrutinize every video these days, I got other shit to do.

There’s SO many “fun fact” accounts these days that either make up the fact or fake a video and I don’t GET IT. Why make shit up when it’s already TRUE. I get heated about fake color theory videos, too. Why are you making fake paint mixing videos, real ones are already great, STOP TRICKING PEOPLE.

This video is AI. I’m trying to get better at spotting AI animal videos because I’ve been fooled too many times. The thing that sucks is the fact IS true, female octopi throw things at males who are bothering them. It’s also hard to appreciate art when it’s completely divorced from the context in which it was made. And sometimes when you learn the full context of a piece of art you can truly appreciate the joke that is “this urinal has made people mad in the exact same way for over 100 years”

I had a hard time with history classes because they were mostly focused on names and dates and grand speeches from figures who had been glorified post-mortem but art history makes it a lot easier to see and understand that people are just people and fart jokes have existed for millennia.

I minored in art history in college and it was one of my better life choices. Learning about a specific time through the lens of its art helps give a much more complete picture of the era and the people that lived through it. Plus it’s FUN.

Obviously the answer here is I want this TV to look nice and precise and I have never once been a “precise” sort of crafter. I’ve always had a kind of Impressionist approach to making 3D stuff aka “just kinda shove shit around until it looks right”

Ben’s been watching through Supernatural from the beginning and I’ve only seen a handful of episodes before this and my primary source of knowledge is Tumblr memes so every time I see Dean’s car I think about how it went to heaven at the end of the show.
