This is the key point - it's not about Moderna's flu vaccine, it's about sending a signal to the rest of the industry that vaccine development isn't viable in the US. It's all part of the larger anti-vaccine agenda.

Who's going to spend €700m on development or a trial if the regulator is going to move the goalposts after you've done it?

I'm wondering why Moderna followed through with finishing the trial. Maybe they will now try to get their vaccine approved in the EU? Or somewhere else in the world?

At this point, Moderna, and many other biotech companies, should probably relocate out of the US and into civilized countries.

If ever there were a time for them to dip into the lobbying cash lockbox…do they not have the strong bribery game we thought they did?

I'm not sure that's a fair assessment. If it was RFK Jr. who made the call, sure, I would agree. This seems more in line with Prasad just exercising his vision of what constitutes acceptable evidence.

This has a whiff of "Textbooks have to be vetted by Texas first".

I bet it's also about a shakedown. Deposit $1M in the President's crypto account and the approval will happen.

Just guessing but $1M is small
Potatoes. He’s thinking much larger for such a lucrative industry. l can’t even hazard a guess.

You'd think, but the Trumpies are so far down the anti-mRNA rabbit hole that throwing Moderna to the wolves is some sort of ideological tribute.
