Anti-Trans bigotry is such a strong force because Trans people represent a movement towards bodily autonomy that would violate everything the fascists hold dear. The fascists don't want anyone to get to make choices about their bodies. Trans healthcare is a slap in the face to patriarchal control.

As much as these jackasses like to go on about the american dream, they can't stand the idea that people can change their stars, because they firmly believe in a fixed heirarchy where they are on top even though they don't even believe in the "unchangeable gender" thing because they cut up IS kids.

I think it's much simpler than that. The idea of trans people squicks a significant fraction of the population, most of whom have never been acculturated to the understanding that "it squicks me" is not the same thing as "it must be destroyed."

What if my "God given gender" is the one that doesn't match my physical body? What if God wanted me to be trans? You people never stop and consider the possibility that this is what God wants for me.

Also, how can patriarchy survive w/o a stable gender binary? If ppl move between man/woman or sit entirely outside it, if men can give birth & women can impregnate them the whole stinking edifice collapses.

Yes and exactly the same issues of bodily autonomy are at stake in connection with women's reproductive rights. The fight for trans rights and women's rights is one and the same struggle.

My objection is this is a business. My mental health is not fixed by surgery. At no point of reason can surgery cure mental conditions. The three people I buried were killed by this business. They need acceptance not surgery. Anna transitioned and was still a gay woman. Brice OD 2009 RIP.

Surgery can fix the physical problems that drive mental harm. The physical problems caused by institutionalized neglect of our medical conditions when we were younger.

How do you explain trans people in countries that aren't America?

With "friends" like you, I can grasp why people found life intolerable.

Do you think that implying being trans is a mental health condition is what "acceptance" of trans people looks like?

Was it the surgery or being surrounded by transphobic people?

Because that is the leading cause of any type of transition regret. A social network that rejects them.

PS: you can be a trans woman lesbian, I know a couple, I also know a couple trans gay men.

"They need acceptance not surgery" yet here you are not accepting their life choices, which includes surgery.
Maybe you're the problem here.

Trans women threaten the gender hierarchy itself by stepping off the totem pole

looksmaxxing and all its associated poisons are tangential to this btw. by establishing that it's a choice to be "beautiful" this also necessitates that it is a choice to be "ugly" and a movement that ties unattractiveness to moral & social unfitness is a tool to control your bodily autonomy. ๐Ÿ‘

Itโ€™s also because itโ€™s a socially cheap form of conservative expression. Cis people have to make it more expensive.
