I got an answering machine, which is typical anyways, but I still used my entire allotted time to tell her to do SOMETHING.

Don't know how coherent I was because talking on phones makes me want to vomit and I was sobbing, but I still fucking did it. No one awake has any excuse today.

The 25th can only be invoked by the vice president and a majority of the cabinet.

Congress can vote to impeach, and then the Senate would have to convict.

Not saying the pressure on congress is wrong, but asking them to invoke the 25th gives them an easy "not our job" out.

Places I've worked at in France actually allow for "strike days off" if you want to go on strike. It's heavily encouraged here. But now that they're trying to pass a law that makes it illegal to speak against Israel, I think people aren't mad enough either.

I have zero idea how true it is, but I did ask the staffer of my senator (Klobuchar) what happens with the calls and she said they mostly tell the rep in question about the volume of calls rather than the content of each call 🤷‍♀️
