i'd like to see a 4-second shot clock in the nba. i get that running a halfcourt offense is supposed to be good luck or whatever, but it doesn't actually do anything. knock it off. just inbound and let 'er rip

There was a basketball league in the Philippines that used a 23-second shot clock and had a rule that any basket with 19 or more seconds left on the shot clock is an automatic 3

they also had a rule where instead of taking 2 free throws you could take 1 from the 3-point line worth 3 points

If you can kick the ball in the basket, 5 points.

It's a good idea, unless someone comes up with a three second shot clock, then you're in trouble.

You hoping to make a sequel to the Troy State vs Devry video?

Shot clock goes up by 1 second every time someone fails to score, resets on every score. (Resets to 2 seconds if someone scores a 3 pointer)

Score reset includes free throws.

Allow a 3-second count before the defense can tackle the passer.

Coincidentally, I just watched the DeVry video again yesterday. One of my favorites.

you should have 4 seconds to shoot but like 10 minutes to inbound it

Not bad but the game should still be sixty minutes of actual game time. The referee has to count the ten minutes with his arm

too long. one second. if you have the ball, it is your duty to take the shot, wherever you may happen to be.

It should average 24 seconds over the course of the game, but otherwise be random on each possession. Sometimes you look up before you inbound and it’s 4 seconds, sometimes it’s a minute

You joke, but if the NBA decided to make half-court baskets worth 5 points, I'm pretty sure the Warriors and Steph Curry would design their offense to do that exclusively.

It’ll add suspense and jeopardy- so that the poorer teams can compete

Nah, embrace the inverted shot-clock.

You think you're good in the half-court? Let's see you pass and move for 45 seconds before you shoot.
