Something I havenโ€™t seen mentioned is that more than TSA work at airports! Janitors, food service, retail, etc. I have no faith that security clearance to work at an airport will keep those people safe from ICE, especially brown and Black people with accents.

if you're travelling and you are a documented citizen (esp if you're white/white-passing), you need to speak up & interrupt any racial profiling you witness. We are absolutely defeated if we allow ICE agents to harass people in the broad light of crowded airports. Don't be a good deputy citizen.

The U.S. is the most anti-life entity on the planet. The whole "pro-life" thing was always obviously a lie to cover for the actual desire to control marginalized people's bodies. But it's vertigo-inducing to read Ross's prescient analysis and see so obviously how anti-life this whole empire is.

This has always been ICE and in truth policing for Black, Indigenous, and Latinรฉ folks. Itโ€™s just happening at a scale where many more people are exposed to it.

This is a type of ICE "ruse," and is a tactic the agency has deployed for decades.

In 2015, ICE went to my former client's house posing as cops and convinced his 16-year-old US citizen niece to call him home from work with a fake story (the "identity theft ruse" explained below), then arrested him.

Unflinching refusal to use or allow the use of A.I. in reading & writing should be the uncontroversial, default position of teachers from K-12 to colleges & universities. If our administrators tell us we "have to" we tell them to eff off. We will not kill the planet's water for systemic plagiarism.

The utterance of "A.I.'s inevitability" is one of the most stark pure performatives I've seen in my time working in higher ed. Every time it is uttered, it is clearly not reporting a fact about the world but instead actively trying to create the reality it narrates. We can and must refuse.

Don't let the liberals squash this moment like they have every recent anti-carceral movement by turning "Abolish ICE" into "Defund ICE" into "ICE needs better training" resulting in rehabilitation PR and ultimately increased funding for "reforms."

It's "Abolish ICE" loud and clear, no qualifiers.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: โ€œNo, I donโ€™t have to show you any documentation.โ€

Because thatโ€™s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

What you're seeing in that video of ICE murdering a woman in broad daylight (I'm not sharing it) is a tactic that the police have been using against Black people and their comrades for over a century. Down to the "it was self-defense b/c she was trying to run us over" script.

I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK

I'm feeling very powerless knowing that there is no anti-imperialist movement or even opposition party in the US with the teeth necessary to stop this. But still we organize and we fight. Because those of us in the Imperial Core have no right to despair or to fold our hands in resignation.
