My mother was pregnant with and gave birth to my brother just before turning 15. She had me at 18. I feel certain pregnancy and giving birth alone wreaked havoc on her physically and mentally—not to mention the physical and mental abuse she suffered through her pregnancy with me.

I let the MC start monologuing. Aromantic Frankenstein is a Gothic in 1st person POV. I evoke religious imagery as we spiral into Victor’s god complex. Descriptions of intimacy/ vulnerability hold more unfamiliar terror than descriptions of creation/control.
