And I've drawn comics based off a fic (I'll always link to it if I'm riffing off an idea to at least link back to the source) and I've had only one author tell me to not include them bc i went my own direction and they didn't like it. So i deleted it all.

What stresses me out a bit more is when someone (it happened for hockey/ figure skater au) will continuously link me to the fic they think I'm drawing from and I'll read the fic and think... this isn't what i drew AT ALL outside of initial concept.

For me its also been like a personal joke when i get people who go 'WHERE'S THE FIC' about comics I've drawn bc one... this IS the fic, two...idk but I'd love to read it if it exists, three.... this IS the fic lolllll

not to derail, but the type of people who comment "where's the fic???" Are also the type who would never leave a comment on a fic. Fanworks are just Content to them, they dont actually care about the people making them
