Periodic reminder: human beings are still basically wired like the hunter-gatherers we began as. Our brains are designed to face immediate danger, retreat, & recover. We have no neurochemical mechanism for sustained, unrelenting stress. If you're tired, forgetful, etc, that's your brain shorting.

This is a good sanity check, normies do see AI this way. I watched this video last night and my first thoughts were "I wonder what conversations they had with Claude before recording and what info was fed?", because we know that these systems are built to tell the users what they want to hear.

The tech/IT industry is not for the weak right now. In the last 2 weeks my team has been thrown FIVE "immediate need" projects that are then put on hold within 24 hours because the projects are so mismanaged. GD I hope this is corp theatre before a RIF bc otherwise this an insane L by leadership.

one thing i have noticed is a lot of folks do not seem to understand the difference between a presidential election and 435+ legislative elections. i have seen any number of people say that you could subvert the outcome this november by targeting “swing states,” which does not make any sense.
