YES! We absolutely need the general public to really understand the issues so that they aren't as susceptible to being swayed by the arguments being made by the rich and powerful, who like to distract them by blaming immigrants, claims that taxing the rich will lead to more problems, etc.

Interviewed by someone who went to private school, talking about change from the bottom up. The media mostly have no clue what it’s like being a pleb.
Even the more sympathetic ones are over populated by elites.

Not to forget deliberately smash the economy to buy up bargains.

When most wealth in the world is obtained through capital gains or inheritance, the notion that working up leads to astonishing wealth is a myth. Those who do have a rags to riches stories are outliers in a system improving productivity and sharing that wealth with those who already have it.

Completely agree, we all need to wake up. As a Management educator, though, when I try to raise the issue of reducing inequality, my executive and Management students usually get defensive. How do you explain that reaction? Fear of change? How do we get the general public to push back?

This point is right on. Change comes from the base, the radical, the foundation of society. It can only happen when a large number speak, protest, & vote for taxing the rich.

Just look at the way supermarkets, banks and other major organisations react when something is done to pull people up.

As soon as wages look up, they increase prices. They jack up house prices. They increase interest rates. They do anything they can to reduce the impact of meaningful change.
