The rescue of F-15 crew was good for the guy and cost a ridiculous amount of money and Iranian lives. It’s one of those stupid things about war, which if unnecessary, takes stupid to nearly unimaginable levels. The US has already lost billions in destroyed assets, billions more lost in weapons used.
