national, but they didn't diversify along with the patrons who shopped the store. The old yt dudes who continue to run Target don't get that the public is more diversified and socially aware than what it was when they first started the store.

Around here Target has always positioned themselves (geographically & demographically) to mostly white upper/middle class populations, where people could buy ‘budget’ but feel like they had a sense of style & progressive identity. This shot that all to hell.

I don't know why, but I just thought of Garanimals clothes for kids. Target used to have them and I remember being so excited to get a cute little green shorts/Tee outfit that was turtles. I wonder if they still have Garanimals somewhere in the universe. I know...totally random.

That's how they are in iowa. They've always been bigger city, slightly upper scale, usually in a mall until those began to die. Now they're in suburb cities, planted right across from Walmart.

There's never been one in the "city" where family is from, only Walmart that killed a Kmart in the 80s.
