I have a V8 powered project car. My Chevy van for cargo has a 6L V8 and a supercharger. I have an eyes open relationship with cars.

My timeline for an electric car is basically now.

I hope gas hits $20/gallon. The US needs to convert 90% of the ethanol subsidies to solar.

i think cycling/EVs/solar are great. i use two out of three. i also implore you to think about what basic necessities will cost and what the lives of everyone (not just your comfort and convenience) will be like in a $20/gallon world.

I implore you to realize we have to get away from our oil addiction as soon as possible and we're too damn stupid to do it any other way.
