I'm sensing the Aotearoa (2024) National Fuel Plan (by NEMA/MBIE as a Civil Defence document) did not fully consider the scenario of a major *world wide* shortage.

Apparently 40-50 days fuel held locally, and rest (of 90 days) is "option to purchase" 😬

The NZ Herald article about the "Escalation Levels for Fuel Response" apparently announced in Aotearoa today suggests about 50 days supply currently held locally.

Which is better than I had feared, but not as good as I'd hoped (or IEA requirements of "90 days").
