Trying to wrap my head around how to convert €/l to $/gallon
If 2 € really equal 2'32 $
And 1 gallon is 3'78 l
That'd make spanish prices 10'3 $/gallon and usian ones 0'36 €/l
No way that's true. I must be totally failing at math. Are you also paying like 2 cents per kwh or megacalorie per teatime

Your gallon<->liter conversion is correct; I'll assume USD<->EUR is also right. Yeah, compared to just about everywhere not in the Middle East, gas/petrol is ridiculously inexpensive here.

That's also an old image; it's apparently $3.79/gal right now near where I live.

(Clarification since it's bugging me: Gas prices vary quite a bit across the country; I just doubt that you can get sub-$2 gas anywhere in the US right now.)

In 2020 the demand reduction from COVID caused oil prices to collapse. Some oil fields actually had to pay someone to take oil.
