I think this is interesting for a different reason: A lot of the same people who are pushing what we call AI are the people who were big on NFTs and crypto. I think there's a difference in how media influences people's perceptions more than we like to think. But there is yet another angle to it.

I don't think it's an intelligence or understanding gap; I think it's a creativity gap. I think men are often seen as weak or girly for creative pursuits, unless they pass a certain threshold of skill. AI is a pressure valve for achieving something creative by doing it in an "acceptable" way.

AI's true capacity for creativity in art and writing is its own question, but for a lot of people, having an outlet for the part of themselves that wants to create something that exists in their mind, but they don't have the skill or feel pressured not to exercise it.

I've said this for a while, but I believe that AI is best used as an assistant. An Assistant Is Not What People Are Using It For.

Ai can help in art creation. I saw a plugin for some application that used ai to speed up the coloring process for animations. That's what ai should be used for.
