I don’t know about this. He doesn’t provide any evidence and according to physics accelerating a mass to certain speed in less time will require more energy. I don’t think the energy needed to run the auxiliary systems in an EV will outweigh that. 🤷‍♂️

Accelerating harder greatly increases I^2R losses in the power electronics and motors. In addition lots of dual motor vehicles also have an efficiency biased motor that is engaged for all driving and then a less efficient motor that gets engaged for high acceleration.
