shut down without regard to just how important those spots are for the communities and safety.

With how many damn golf courses there are everywhere, there's 0 reason we can't lose a few for the greater good and also for more housing.

I get that they're a public benefit in revenue...

in many cities, but it's usually just one or two of the courses that bring in the bulk of the money in tournaments. There needs to be a hard long look at open green space, and other space utilization because golf is taking up way too much space for way to niche of a community.
