like this is a hill i WILL die on. the scions are just as integral to the story as the characters in every other FF game is.

should they handle the scions' roles in the story better? yeah

They're the party! People trick themselves into thinking XIV is an MMO first and a Final Fantasy second and it's backward. Playing my alt almost entirely solo/with Duty Support/Trusts has really made me appreciate them more as my RPG homies.

Oh yeah! They 100% are, and the game does it's best to make that as crystal clear as possible! I think a lot of people just. Don't like that they're playing a Final Fantasy game???

Doing my NG+ with Sumire I use duty support/trust when possible as much as possible and I love it for the same reason
