It's 7 years today since we won our fight to save the allotments.
The Council had planned to close our allotments and use the site as a car park.
Robert led our campaign and came to all our meetings. He was featured in newspapers and on the TV news.

Auntie Rachel and I went outside for the photos.
The trees are still full of flowers but they might drop off soon.

Someone gave it to Uncle Mick because they didn't want it so he brought it to the allotments and put a plant in it.
I really like it.
I think it's good to use old things instead of throwing them away.

These trees in front of the veranda are full of flowers now.
I've heard the humans talking about the wonderful 'blossom'. Now I realise it means 'flowers'.
Maybe it's only for special plants, I've never heard them talk about the blossom on weeds.
What do you think, do weeds have blossom?

Yesterday the humans had a thing called a Coffee Morning in the veranda.
This human with a big beard always makes a fuss of me and I really like him.
Auntie Sally gave Uncle Mick a little present to thank him for being such a good neighbour - wasn't that nice of her!

Uncle Mick has tidied up my Bed-Table and I like it even more now.
He put it against the wall so the beds can't fall off.
He changed the table for a different one. He said the old one was 'Rickety' and I think I know what that means.
It's the same as 'Wobbly', isn't it?

Do you remember the rolled-up mat I showed you last week? Betty decided to move it to the veranda yesterday.
She put it on the big table in the veranda and put a nice soft bed inside.
She didn't show me where it was but I found it straight away.
It's my new favourite bed now.

Auntie Rachel has been busy again - tidying up the Memorial Garden and taking photos of me!
Betty says that I look like a model but I'm not sure what that means.
I don't do anything special, it's Auntie Rachel and her camera who do all the work.

Can you see that big machine near the tree?
The Council sends it to cut the grass for us.
There is a lot of grass at the allotments and it would take a very long time to cut it without that thing.
I used to be frightened of the noise but I'm used to it now.
I just keep well away from it.

I love this photo Auntie Rachel took. She always gives me a fuss when I do this and I haven't tried to grab her hand,,,,,yet.
I don't think she would mind because she is used to cats.
I've heard some humans say they are 'allergic' to cats.

I love sun-bathing, it's one of my favourite things to do.
It's been quite sunny here recently and I've made the most of it.
It is still a bit cold at night but that doesn't bother me.
My fur coat keeps me nice and warm.

I think I've converted Uncle Mick into a Crazy Cat Man.
I never miss a chance to jump onto his lap and I know he likes it.
I don't know why, but I prefer the male humans to the female ones.
Do other cats feel like that or am I the only one?

I wonder what my life would be like if I lived in a house.
I don't think the humans would be happy with me sitting on the table.
It doesn't matter at the allotments because nobody eats meals at the tables.
I think the humans like me to be on the table as they can fuss me more easily.

Can you see those tiny plants behind me? Many humans wouldn't want their cat to go near them in case theysquashed them.

I was asleep when Auntie Rachel came yesterday but I woke up as I heard her calling me.
I've got a sleepy look on my face, haven't I?
Betty says that some humans look like that all the time because they never get enough sleep.
She is very ancient and only needs about 4 or 5 hours a night.

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday and I went to the Memorial Garden. It's so peaceful there and the flowers are looking lovely. Auntie Pip and Auntie Rachel have looked after it so well.

This is my Bed-Table in the veranda.
One of the good things about us cats living at the allotments is that we are important. Tables don't have to be kept empty so the humans can eat their meals there.
I think we are very lucky.

I'm starting to trust Andy a little bit but I'm not ready to be stroked by him yet.

It's been ages since I did any 'Flop 'n Rolls' but I made up for it yesterday.
It was lovely and sunny and the path was really warm so I made the most of it.
I think Colin was happy to see me doing it again and he took lots of photos.

I loved having all the fuss from Cara, it made me feel so relaxed.
I've heard that some humans like having this sort of fuss too. They call it 'massage' but I don't think it involves as many chin-rubs as mine did.
