Ok just to show how insane this is I was aggressively hit on two separate times by Eric Swalwell (one after a DNC meeting at the hotel in front of a ton of notable folks) and one in my DMs. I don’t think he remembered me from the first time when he hit me up in DMs. (1/2)

Man, we have the same conversations every time a major story like this breaks. It’s exhausting. It is SO HARD to publish a story about gendered violence for a whole host of reasons, a main one being that victims (rightly so!) don’t want to talk.

YUP. In TX, women circulated an anon. “Burn Book” of men who were known harassers &!assailants. There were legislative offices where women interns were warned away.

A colleague of mine in Upstate New York had to tell women political science majors they were not safe interning in Cuomo’s office.

A thought here: whisper networks exist because people need to be kept safe, but without enough corroboration to take an allegation to print, anybody saying this stuff in the open could catch a libel suit.

People are saying what they know, at last, because this is the first day that’s been safe.

Obviously it's completely unseemly that they're hoping to bribe Hungarians to vote for Orban. But it's also just bizarre - Orban does nothing for America, but he does a lot for Russia. Why is this Trump's priority? (It's okay, you don't need to answer.)

Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.
