We are not really paying more. If you compare what we pay in our taxes for Healthcare with the premium they pay for their private health insurances, we win at the end.
Canada is 12.4% of GDP, right in line with the excellent ratings of Europe. US is 18-19% typically (19.7% at the very end of Trump's last term)
That's the US paying an extra 3 trillion/yr to have worse outcomes + 23% of Americans being underinsured & 12% having absolutely NO health insurance. Zip.
One of the big arguments in the U.S. is that if you have a health care system like Canada that your wait times for surgery and things like cataract surgery are very long. I think Republicans make up long surgery wait times as justification. Can you clarify?
I'm not Canadian.I'm really close to a few. They only schedule appointments in the U.S. for surgeries that are non life threatening that have a waiting list.If you're sick or dying you're covered in Canada. In the U.S. it's more profitable to sell u that silver bag of poison, then 2 cure.itswhat I hear

Europe slowly began to recognize the right to universal healthcare as the remains of Europe were being secured after WWII. It was considered a basic part of National Defense. Canada followed. Boy, did the US fuck-up.
