Have just been reminded of possibly my worst book lending story, where the book was returned to me with a spider squashed between two of the pages. The lender did not mention this.

It haunts me to this day and I think I was... maybe 14 when it happened.

I would yeet the book so hard. 🙈 I have this kind of stuff happen with library books, not a fun surprise. 😱
